Chamomile - German (Blue) Essential Oil


German Chamomile is a very fragrant herb that is mainly produced in Hungary. It has been used since antiquity as a medicinal remedy and is commonly used in cosmetic production and as an herbal tea. German Chamomile is a dark blue essential oil that is stronger aromatically, and more medicinal smelling, than Roman Chamomile.

Latin Binomial:  Matricaria recutica

Extraction Method:  Steam

Chamomile flowers have been used since antiquity for digestive disorders and skin irritations. The flowers are extensively used as an herbal tea and the oil is used a lot in cosmetics.
