Bergamot FCF Essential Oil

FCF free Bergamot has the same uses, scent, and characteristics as regular bergamot oil. The only difference is that in FCF free bergamot, bergaptene is removed and makes the oil non- photo toxic.

Latin Binomial:  Citrus bergamia


Extraction Method:  Cold pressed


Countries of Origin:  Italy, Guinea, Morocco, Corsica

Scent Profile:Fresh, citrusy, slightly floral

Parts used in distillation:  Citrus rind


Oil Characteristics:  Green/gold, thin, medium aroma

Applications

Used in aromatherapy for the symptomatic relief of:

Colic, flatulence, indigestion, antiviral, cold sores, chickenpox, shingles, sedative, uplifting, tension, anxiety, depression, regulate appetite, cystitis, UTI, wounds, herpes, acne, oily skin, eczema and psoriasis.

Used in aromatherapy to help ease emotional symptoms of:

Relaxing, restoring, calming, antidepressant.

History

The history is unclear, however it was the perfume industry that first stimulated the production of bergamot oil. Also used in Earl Grey tea.
