Alright, so your crown might not end up as elaborate as the one pictured, but trust us, this is a very fun activity that the whole family can enjoy! On your next hike or walk to the park, be sure to collect a bag full of colourful leaves, acorns and any other autumnal treasures that nature offers up.
Once you’re home, gather these items:
Once you’re home and have collected a dazzling array of fallen autumn leaves, it’s time to measure out your crown using the cardstock or paper. Make the band about 5-10inches wide, and measure it around your (or your child’s) head for length.
Next is the fun part – begin to select and glue your leaves to your crown! Start with the centerpiece (the biggest, brightest leaf, maybe?) and work outwards. Gently glue all your autumnal treasures and jewels to your crown and let dry.
And just like that, your crown is ready to be stapled end to end, and regally laid on your child’s head! This makes for a great play-time prop and will last a long time if taken care of!
