Chai for Good Cheer

Rain or shine, one can never deny the magic of a good cup of chai tea. Here is our favorite, homemade chai recipe for cold winter days. ⁠ ⁠

Ingredients:⁠

  • 1 L water⁠
  • 0.25 cup Black Tea⁠
  • 7 Cardamom pods⁠
  • 5 Clove buds⁠
  • 4 Cinnamon sticks⁠
  • 2 Star Anise stars⁠
  • 1 large pinch of whole black peppercorns⁠
  • Milk of choice⁠ Honey⁠ ⁠

Directions:

  1. Place all the spices (except the tea) into the water and bring to a rolling boil.
  2. Take off the heat. Add the tea. Allow to infuse for 10 minutes.
  3. Add milk and honey as desired, and heat up again on low, if you want it super steamy! ⁠ ⁠
